Curating the Home Search
Clients want to see themselves living in the future. When sharing homes with them, they want to envision themselves entertaining on the back deck, holiday baking in the new kitchen or how they could spend a Sunday out in the gardens.
It’s overwhelming when clients receive 20 homes in an email. Imagine looking through each home, analyzing cost, where their kids go to school, what the neighbors are like. Instead, your communication should be carefully curated to their dream neighborhoods, school districts and budget.
My passion is helping you best serve you clients by helping them envision themselves in the five curated homes you scrubbed through and sent them. It is advising you on helping them determine what their ideal life could be in a new town or lifestyle.
Curating the Photography
We all know what listing photos look like. They’re the best angle, taken with a wide lens. The moment you and your clients arrive, immediate disappointment.
For a curated experience, you will need to do extra work in order to determine if the story the agent is sharing is accurate or a story your client will want to experience.
Being a local expert and assisting clients in your local geography, you should already have a library of photos to share of your favorite shops, restaurants and businesses.
Your client is purchasing a lifestyle, not just a house. Share what their lives will look like in a home that you’ve carefully curated from the non negotiable search.
Curating the Design
Finally, you want to share how you are enjoying your own story. Remember, they aren’t buying your story, they’re seeing how you overcame obstacles by choosing a home that supports your unique lifestyle. No one is interested in keeping up with the Jones’ because we can’t afford that lifestyle.
They want to see that you dragged your patio furniture to a new area of your yard and curated a morning coffee spot by using what you already have.
They want to see your garden struggles by what you planted and what didn’t grow. How are you using the space you currently have.
You are the curator to help them envision what they need and want and how they can accomplish the lifestyle they desire by being authentically you.
